Outstanding Characteristics: Fast growing broadleaf oak, tolerant of wet sites. Yellow fall color, exfoliating bark (similiar to white oak) at a young age.
Notes: Overcup Oak has a fibrous root system that enables it to be transplanted easily. May be one of the last Oaks to break bud in the spring, especially the first spring after transplanting.
