    Outstanding Characteristics: Evergreen shade tree native to the southern United States. Tolerates many soil types and conditions.

    Notes: We have been growing them for over 5 years, with some trials prior to that, to determine hardiness. Typically observed to thrive in Alabama, south of Montgomery. We have had no winter damage in Alpine, AL.
