Mature Size: 40-50' x 40-50'
USDA Hardiness Zone: 6-9 (View Hardiness Zone Map)
Outstanding Characteristics: Fast growing broadleaf oak, tolerant of wet sites. Yellow fall color, exfoliating bark (similiar to white oak) at a young age.
Notes: Overcup Oak has a fibrous root system that enables it to be transplanted easily. Annual root pruning facilitates summer digging. May be one of the last Oaks to break bud in the spring, especially the first spring after transplanting.
